Good curved band rocking across the right and bottom of the storm now. Once again it's a matter of Hanna actually wrapping it around.

Yeah that's a good parallel. I had forgotten about Claudette till you mentioned her yesterday.

Claudette played around in the Gulf for a few days then headed for the same area of Texas and strengthened pretty rapidly at the end. Jeff Morrow had some pretty great coverage for the weather channel from Port O’Conner.

I don’t think Gonzalo even holds together by the lesser Antilles. It’s getting torn apart now

That area of the gulf seems to always allow quick strengthening. Harvey got big quick there too

A tropical wave is producing an area of disorganized showers and
thunderstorms a few hundred miles south of Cabo Verde Islands.
This wave is expected to move westward during the next several
days, and it could become a tropical depression early next week
when it reaches the western tropical Atlantic.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...near 0 percent.
* Formation chance through 5 days...medium...50 percent.

92L the "massive wave" Levi mentioned yesterday when discussing Gonzalo?

If I remember correctly, yes 92L was the big wave he mentioned yesterday.
