This is the same government that led a select committee in 1977 that told us to eat more bread and grain. You know, that shite they feed cows to fatten them up for market as complex starches turn into sugar as they are broken down. All because a senator by the name of George McGovern, who lead the committee, was on a fad diet.
Millions of overweight people and billions of acres burned to the ground thanks to government "help".
I'm sure the climate change polices are different though.

I think I’m going to identify as 67 years old and demand social security benefits. Then sue the government if I don’t receive a check. Then after a few years of making bank, identify as an 18 year old stud and sue for cheerleader level girlfriends.

Trump is not making school lunches great again. They’re fricking gross, or at least the ones I had were in the early 2000’s

You just made me tear up. So brave, festus, let me know if I can help!

I am a teacher. With the advent of healthier food choices, sweet potato fries in place of french fries, all bread including hamburger and hot dog buns becoming whole wheat, no more fried items, mac and cheese or sweets of any kind, children threw away most of each day’s lunch. If they wouldn,t eat it, how was it supposed to make them healthy? They eventually all started to supplement their lunches with items brought from home. No one ate what was given. It ws horrible wasteful.

My argument is that nutrition advice that's given to us by the government is more political than scientific. I'd rather listen to individuals that are more educated on the subject, say doctors and nutritionists who say we eat way too much grain. Even archeologists found that heart disease was common with anchent Egyptians who grew and consumed a lot of grain.
However, it's cool. You're not smart enough to comprehend that. I suggest reading more to help with that. Perhaps the "Dick and Jane" books are more your speed.

Precisely. Unfortunately you have common high-functioning oxygen thieves like Lacour who would rather worship the altar of mommy and daddy government than use a simple skill like critical thinking. It's no surprise he's gnashing his teeth like a scared, cornered animal as he has no defense to his old, worn out talking points.

Why would I lie? It's a private school which piggy backs off the parish for school lunches. Maybe they are obligated to buy x number of lunches to participate. All I know is we needed an excuse to bring our own lunch and not pay for the pablum they pass off as food.

Why don’t back parents just make their kids lunch like most white parents do?
The government shouldn’t be legislating what we eat because one particular group that matters habitually makes poor decisions.

Someone said his kids school didn't let anyone bring lunches without a doctor's note. Sounds fishy though.

Lacour is more republican than you are.
He is just trying to get you riled up. I have some nudes of his wife I’ll send you.
What’s your email address?

Sounds like his kids “private” school is probably a charter school.
I wonder if he is also a member at the local municipal golf course?

Look, I am not an Obama fan, but I could never understand why trying to make school lunches healthy was somehow controversial
its not, what "is" controversial is forcing saltless, sugarless, flavorless foods to be the only choice they had, kids just refused to eat it, PERIOD, so it went straight into trash cans and actually served to take a good program that was feeding kids and turn it into a joke where kids would go hungry before they ate that liberal crap food
this isnt about obama or moochelle, but its just about giving kids the nutritious and healthy foods that they like and are willing to eat. you know, "commmon sense", something that has been lacking in this country for many years due to ridiculous PC liberal BS
