video of police trying to arrest people on Instytutska street in Kyiv (the street goes from Maidan up to the governmental quarters. It is parallel to Hrushevskogo street where the clashes take place). In this case I think people were targeted because one of them had a construction workers casc (many on maidan do have cacs like that) also they were dressed not as ""city center public"

The guy in the blue suit that comes in towards the end of the video must have some stroke. I have seen him in other pictures trying to find one now.

found it, it was from the same incident.

From Reuters: "The prime minister will not be going. Parliament tomorrow will not be voting for the resignation of the government," Mykhailo Chechetov, a spokesman for the Party of the regions, told Interfax news agency. He said the Regions parliamentary faction would equally block any attempt to repeal the anti-protest legislation which Yanukovich loyalists rammed through parliament on January 16. "We are categorically against changing these laws. What are we talking about here? A bandit must go to jail," he said.

Also saw this on the Euromaidan Wikipedia Page

Spilna Sprava (Community Cause), a militant splinter of Euromaidan, occupied and later evacuated the Ministry of Justice after Justice Minister Olena Lukash threatened to push for imposing a state of emergency. On 27 January, the Ministry of Defense announced sharp pay raises for military personnel, and the Cabinet of Ministers adopted a secret resolution to increase the size of the Berkut & Gryffon force sixfold to 30,000; they would also be given more power and a reserve fund would be set aside for additional ammunition. The Ministry of Justice then ordered the legalization of vigilante "civic patrols", which would apply to titushky. The government was reportedly planning to close off 30 streets in Kiev, with the Cabinet preparing to introduce martial law.

The two sides also agreed on granting amnesty for arrested protesters on the condition that activists leave officials buildings they have occupied and clear away barricades from roads, including the tent camp in Kyiv's central Independence Square.

Interesting concession by the government. They're not giving much up- how could the law be enforced? - and now the pressure is on the activists. Do they go home with the law repealed? Will we see Molotov cocktails come out for their other demands, like joining the EU agreement or returning to the 2004 constitution? The Maidan movement was flagging before the protest law brought everyone out onto the streets. What will happen now?

What is new guys, I have had to work and take care of other things. I know we are waiting to see what happens today with the Ukrainian Parliament's decision, but what is going to happen after. As a Marine who fought to try to liberate a people who didn't want it, this is hard to watch. I had friends lose their lives for a fight not worth fighting, whereas they would have gladly laid down their lives for this cause and nothing is being done by our government. I want to see justice served and a corrupt government overthrown for right reasons. This better end today. Yanukovich needs to step down if he really cares about his country and his people, if he doesn't then he is nothing but a Putin puppet.

Ukraine's PM and government resign

Ukraine's President Viktor Yanukovych has accepted the resignation of the prime minister and his cabinet amid continuing anti-government protests.

Mykola Azarov had offered to step down as prime minister to create "social and political compromise".

The move came after the Ukrainian parliament voted overwhelmingly to annul controversial anti-protest laws.

The protests have spread in recent days across Ukraine, even to President Yanukovych's stronghold in the east.

Official buildings in several cities have been occupied.

Tuesday saw the interior ministry report that three protesters had stabbed and wounded three policemen in the southern city of Kherson, one of whom later died.

At least five people have been killed in violence linked to the protests.

Also from the BBC

Meanwhile, top EU diplomat Catherine Ashton has brought forward a planned visit to Ukraine by 48 hours and will now arrive on Tuesday for meetings with Mr Yanukovych and opposition leaders.

She said she was "alarmed" by reports on Monday that the government was preparing to introduce a state of emergency. Officials have denied any such plan.

Ms Ashton arrives from Brussels where she, with other senior EU leaders, will have met Russian President Vladimir Putin at an EU-Russia summit.

Differences over Ukraine were expected to be high on the agenda.

Not until the President resigns or there is a new election.

Russia is now also threatening to withdraw its 15 billion funding if the administration steps down.

Also today Putin told the EU to butt out and let Ukraine take care of its own business. Also said that Russia wouldn't interfere.
