I rarely have a meal without some form of meat outside of "snack meals"

Snack meals meaning no time to cook so a bagel or cereal in the morning. Lunch and Dinner I seriously have no clue the last time no meat was involved. I don't consider it a meal without meat and something complimenting it.

Results show vegetarian low-fat diets rank as the worst for men’s sexual health; decreasing testosterone by up to 26 percent.

The actual study is behind a paywall (and what's linked to is non-scientific clickbait), but the abstract, which you can read at PubMed (which is from the National Institutes of Health), does not even mention vegetarian, vegan, or anything like that. The study is all about higher-fat versus lower-fat diets. Here's the key part:
quote:

Conclusions: Low-fat diets appear to decrease testosterone levels in men, but further randomised controlled trials are needed to confirm this effect. Men with European ancestry may experience a greater decrease in testosterone, in response to a low-fat diet.

There are multiple reasons why low-fat diets can be pointless to counter-productive. But this article does not appear to suggest that it matters for testosterone whether you get your fat from avocados (vegan), butter (vegetarian but not vegan), or ribeyes (carnivore).

Personally I'm just glad I had ribeye and avocado the other night.

Wut. You understand butter isn’t vegetarian right?

Eh, butter is vegetarian, in the more usual use of the word, meaning not eating the actual animal--it's just not vegan.

University of Worcester...the university began awarding degrees in 1997 and was granted full university status in 2005.

A real academic juggernaut no doubt.

Hippie skepticism

Also to note. Low testosterone usually produces boys during reproduction.

Read something a decade or so about it. I'm sure many other studies have found other results.

Also something about high testosterone being linked to baldness.

My wife has always blamed my sex drive on me being an electrician, says I’ve been shocked once to many times causing a perma hard on. Don’t let her see this mess cause she might start me on a veggie diet.

Clickbait is clickbait.

From the linked article:

quote:

Men should ideally consume plenty of monounsaturated fats, which are found in olive oil, avocados, and nuts, to boost testosterone.

The bottom line is a properly balanced diet is good a poorly balanced one is bad. We are still arguing what a proper balance is but if you exercise enough and track your bodies output and reaction to those efforts your body will tell you what it needs. After just a few days of getting the majority of my protein from chicken and fish, I can see an objective reduction in power output that is when my body needs a nice fatty ribeye or literally a "hangover meal" to give it what it needs.
