Can't speak for those exact apartments, but I lived at The BLOX.
I loved it. Rent was cheap as hell, Uber from tigerland, the casino , and Perkins Rowe were all under 10$, and I could get to the engineering college in less than 5 minutes on a good day.

I read it sold in 2017 for $285K but the new owners were going to renovate it a little but keep the name and do a grand reopening for Brightside. I guess that never happened

I lived there in 04/05. They had just remodeled at the time and they were great. They were cheap, nice, quiet, on the bus route, and close to Tigerland. I don't think it's like that anymore. That area has gone down hill since then. Even the gated complexes around there have issues with vehicle break ins.

We were finally able to sell a condo on Brightside View drive in 2017. So much section 8 housing taking over and fewer students in that immediate area. I would not put my child in that area. It was fine in 2006 when we bought but the area has changed dramatically since then.

Highly recommend lake beau pre it’s off river road right by Brightside. Very quick commute to class with a ton of parking. Probably one of best places to live in BR

Listen to Tigahhs97. Blake Young at Greaux Investments LLC has a bunch of properties in the area.
