I strain my bacon grease, then let it cool and put it in an old butter dish for later use. Grease from ground meat or chicken, I let cool then dump in the trash.

Unless you burn it in an engine, the correct thing to do is to throw it away. Simply put it back in the original bottle after it cools, put the cap back on and throw it in the garbage. Do not put it down the drain or dump it outdoors.

There's a guy that lives down the street from me, and he uses a deuce and a half to bring his jetskis into the gulf every weekend, and pulls them back out of the gulf on Monday.

I may start donating my used grease to him.

The only issue with cooking oil is that it can congeal in cold weather, which can be a real PITA. Down here it is not much of an issue, especially if you cut it with a lighter hydrocarbon. But up North I'd never use it.

Used filtered motor oil is good too.

So as long as you filter motor oil, and strain grease, you can pour that straight into the tank of that deuce and a half and it will run?

I'm thinking about selling my jeep and getting a deuce as a toy, and I'm only half kidding.

I dump mine over the fence in my neighbors yard. He's a fricking a-hole that never cuts his grass and the weeds grow on to my fence. I throw my dog shite over there too.

Yes, it will run. With the used motor oil you have to filter it to 10 microns or less, 5 is even better.

Now with cooking oil, you don't have to filter it that highly, just get all of the solids out.

I pour it on unwanted stumps around my property. After several pours and months of soaking, light it up. Cheap stump removal. ..

Let it cool a bit, then put a few paper towels in the pan to soak it up and then dump it in the trash can.
