Wade caused the current dumpster fire, and he is the reason good coaches don't want to come to LSU.
Wade is weak.

I have an early Rolex watch that is apparently not very valuable and which needs a little work. Parts aren't available so I can't get anyone to work on it.

re: Finally had to do the inevitable and replace the Silverado transmission

The transmission issue has to be frustrating.
Wife has a 1996 Z71 with 460,000 miles or so. It still has the original transmission and the truck has never had any transmission work.
Truck has been very reliable. However, the ignition switch failed and it is at the shop today. The failure was interesting - she started it and the starter stayed engaged. She turned the ignition switch off and removed the key, but the motor was still running (at this point, without the starter noise). After five minutes or so, the motor turned off on its own.
When I got there, the ignition switch would freely move but with no sign that it was connected to anything. Tow truck arrives, and the ignition switch went from :way too easy to move" to "very difficult to move."

I helped admin a huge FB watch group. They were catching flak from FB because posters would post their watch and gun collections together. It was an interesting three years. A lot of "wrist roll" photos and posting. The showing off and arrogance would kill a lot of collecting groups. But, almost all the watch collectors participating were show offs so it worked very well. We never had the "showing off' and "bragging" complaints that we get as admins in other collecting groups.
For example, in old car and train collecting groups, stating your purchase price is almost always going to generate some complaints to the admins. But, the collectors would commonly post how much they paid. No problem, no complaints.
Honestly, a lot of the watch photos were off the same models. The interesting part of the pictures was often the other content - hot girls, some really nice collectible cars, etc.

I like that the Coach takes the hit for the players.
re: Anybody ever buy a new car and have it shipped?
Posted by chinhoyang on 3/5/26 at 5:41 pm to doublecutter
you can get people to look at them in person, but I've never heard someone do that for a new car.
I ship antique cars from time to time, never had an issue. It is the way to go. I hire a car guy to inspect the vehicle, someone with more expertise than me in most cases.

One of my college buddies stole a Big Boy character from a Big Boy restaurant in Atlanta. He and his friends put it on top of the entrance to their high school. He had a photo of the miscreants shaking hands under the Big Boy at the entranceway.

Would you counsel anyone who was blind and deaf to just kill themself?

Dead and I have a brain tumor in a place where I could end up deaf and blind. As of last report, not growing and stable but I am having some symptoms that might indicate it is back on the move.

She looked much better as she was - didn't need all the "help" cosmetically.
How can you lose it all in her circumstances? Why go OF when you could get a sugar daddy?

Dusty May – modern offense, Final Four credibility
Chris Beard – proven big-time winner
Ryan Odom – smart up-and-coming coach
Any others?

I would immediately disown my own dog if it bit me (absent very extenuating circumstances).

If McMahon is canned, which seems likely, LSU needs to hire a strong basketball coach. Please, LSU, don't hire a retread! Rehiring Wade is like recapping your tennis shoes. Get someone who can coach and recruit, and not some guy whose main skill is big talk.
