You f****** little prick, I'm clearly stating that someone is trying to tell me what freedoms I can and cannot have. They aren't forcing me to do anything, it's my middle finger to them for curtailing my freedom. And f*** you for being an a******.

Have you ever used night vision? What about a thermal camera? Now strap those on a silent drone with hellfire missiles. Your little AR ain't gonna do shite against that. And what about cruise missiles? M1 Abrams? Whatever else the government has hiding away? The idea that the second amendment will protect you from a tyrannical government is a fricking joke. That said, you do have the right to own the AR, but let's not kid ourselves with the "fight big brother" argument.

What if there are 50 million of us with AR-15 any other arms, with enough ammo to mean business? Does that make a government considering tyrannical acts reconsider?

Such a hard arse self censoring naughty words.

You literally said you bought one because the "libtards" don't want you to have one. That truly is sad.

You wouldn't make a dent. The US military could destroy us all if the people tried to fight.

To be quite honest if he bought one because the “libtards” don’t want him to, I’m ok with that. The more educated and responsible gun owners the better.

But, you’re right in that I can’t take anyone who self edits seriously.

I don't think someone who buys a gun for that reason is educated.

Who’s going to order the US military to turn against civilians? What branch of government is going to sign off on that? Who in the actual military will be following through on that?

Why do you assume a "tyrannical gov't" has to be the US gov't?

Maybe not, but it may be a step the right direction to learning.

ETA Just remember, there was a time when you and all of us tried actually typing out a quote box on the site.

Would they stand up for the government or fight for the people?

AR stands for ArmaLite
30 round magazines have been around for a LONG fricking time, sounds like we have a societal problem
Criminals will always get their weapons of choice

Since you are claiming school shooting happen monthly with the perp using an AR-15, go ahead and list the ones in the past six months for me please

Perhaps I'm exaggerating, but wouldnt 1-2 a year be enough to consider putting that particular type of weapon aside? I understand "well, we would like to have it in the even of a government wide militia event where they seek to kill all citizens ", but it seems to me (and perhaps I'm a fool) that one might follow it with "but I'm going to give up that type of weapon for the time being because the government of the most properous country in the world mass-killing its citizens, does not seem particularly imminent to me, and I'm guessing I may be able to predict in advance when something like this may occur so I could take other measures to mitigate my risk against such an event". But hey, I'm just someone who would like to see my kids or friends not killed in a mass murder. Eh, you know

I hate those terrorist bastards but it's a fact that our own crazy sons a bitches are killing more Americans, often children, than the terrorists are. That's messed up.

They come in so many calibers and configurations they actually make ideal hunting rifles. Especially for young and recoil sensitive people.

My kids use an AR in 300 blackout for deer

Coming from someone that doesn’t own an assault type weapon or any other type of semiautomatic weapon knows that’s BS. How did that work out for us in one of the countless wars we’ve been in?
