Since I caught COVID in 2021 I average 2 hrs / night.

This Winter storm I was awake Friday - Sunday night. However long that was no sleep.

The older you get the less important sleep becomes. You’ll get microdises of it like: while driving, sitting in Dr offices, work, sitting in car while wife is in Target, toilet, etc. but a night of evening news and crawl in the bed for 8 hours is myth at this point.

Same i go home many Fridays after work and micro sleep here and there, 2 hours on the recliner and stay up till Monday morning work.
Longest un-medicated I ever stayed up is offshore on a platform waiting for a pig to arrive and got stuck because of weather. Stayed up 54 hours because every 30 minutes we had to report on radio. Weather broke and we got picked up at the 52 hour mark and taken back to location. Debrief, checked by medic, shower, ate, checked by medic again and then crashed for 13 hours.

100 plus hours. I don't recommend it.

Right at 72 hours. Will never do that again.

That's crazy and makes me look like a weakling. The longest I've ever gone without sleep is about 30 hours.

Where did you work at?

I too worked as a liner hanger FE for Baker Hughes (GoM liners were out of Houma are the time)…but went to the Permian as a full time toolhand.

45 hours was a Permian job due to washing/reaming the whole OH section.

Stayed up 32 hours on an offshore job…had to pull liner and it got sticky as the packer approached the wellhead…

I stayed awake for 7 days once. Didn't eat during that time either. Mostly just drank mountain dew.

I was 17 and on meth.
