That's ridiculous, didn't think it would be that bad. You do have to travel kind of far to work, and with that traffic crossing town, you need something that gets better mileage.

Had one in old highlander hybrid. Incredibly smooth.

Yea, and that was interstate. It's just getting out of hand. Not to mention it's got a hard misfire I can't pinpoint and I need tires ($1,200 +). Instead of sinking into it, I'm just moving on.

have one in the wife's prius... no problems..
it's certainly not going to be a "fun" vehicle to drive with a CVT but if you're looking at vehicles with them, you're prolly not concerned about that..

I can tell you that nobody in the transmission repair business is building these things yet. There aren't even any kits available yet so we've had to replace everyone so far and it's not cheap. The main issue with the cvt's I've seen is the torque converter striping out.

depends on MFG- CVT have been around along time- Tanks use them!
Nissan has had good fortune with theirs

Wife has a Murano with about 110,000 miles and no problems at all. 2 things to know, more expense to do a fluid exchange ($240 for us) and not as many 3rd party places do the fluid exchange, might be stuck with the dealership on that.
