I don't know what the official acceptable time is, but I do know that whenever the time is right This Christmas by Donny Hathaway is the first Christmas song that will be played.

December 1st for me, but I understand why some would play it on Black Friday. Any earlier than that, and they can go DIAF.

This. Christmas season can officially start on Black Friday once Thanksgiving is over.

Anything earlier is uncivilized.

The day after thanksgiving. Or whenever you feel like it, because not everything needs an OT ruling.

Sunday after Thanksgiving while putting up Christmas decorations. We always start off the Christmas season by playing the #1 GOAT Christmas album...Aaron Neville's Soulful Christmas.

Bells will be ringin'...

At sunset, when you turn on the Christmas lights.

Not until the moment the tree starts to go up. Which, in our home, is traditionally the Sunday after Thanksgiving.

Never, Christmas music is categorically terrible and people who like it should be shot in the face.

Parties are for children's birthdays and unemployed adults.

Just kidding, but seriously all Christmas music sucks. It's like artists make something shitty and think "I can't sell this shite, I should mention Santa and it'll sell".

It's a dumping ground for shite music.
