Unless you're also planning on lifting and going with taller tires, (20-17)/2=1.5

Therefore, you at most are spending thousands of dollars, and IMO sacrificing looks, to gain 15. inches or less of sidewall. It just seems like a really bad idea.

If you wanted a super smooth car like ride, a 4runner was not the choice you should have made.

Thousands of dollars? Rims are like 800, which I can likely get back for selling my LTD rims. Also, tires should be cheaper w/ smaller rims.

"rims"?

What is this? 2002?

And all of those are terrible, if you are gonna do aftermarket wheels go with plain black spokes

4runnere are not known for their ride due to having a real truck frame. I wasn't dissing 4tunners. I've owned one and still love them

It's just a fact.

By the time you buy tired and rims, have them minutes and balanced, etc then sell your factory set, you'll more than likely be out at least $1000.

Go drive one with the smaller rims and see if you even notice a difference.

Can't drive one with XREAS suspension with smaller rims S they only have that suspension on limiteds. Not getting the wheels until these tires need replacing. So the cost is negligible

I just think you're going to be incredibly disappointed in the results of switching to the smaller rim. Good luck though, I hope it works our for you.

There's an a-hole in every bunch. So, anybody who gets rims after they buy a car is trash?

Idiot. There are some sweet wheels out there, and sometimes the factory options are poor. Not everybody is getting 24" wheels on an El Dorado.

Jackass.

Just about all TRD wheels are pretty sick, but if you have any sympathy for your local tire shop you won't get Toyota wheels. They're a bitch and a half to work with

Jesus Gawd!

Time to grow up and put away childish things.

Find the stock rims and put them back on it and act like you are more than twelve years-old or a wannabe gang-banger.

Rims. Really. An O-T thread about aftermarket rims.

SMDH!

Exactly. They are OEM toyota with center caps and all as they came stock on some Tundras and FJs. They have an inch more offset than what came stock on mine, so they sit out a bit more. I'm taking them off when I get back from the trip though. I'm getting around 14 mpg.

They are lug centric and need to be balanced with a haweka adapter.

OP, I like the first option. They look like the wheels that will be on the TRD Pro models. Are they 17" or 18"?
