Cattle mutilations baffle Williams rancher
quote:
A cow and a bull were both killed overnight. An ear cut off. A section of hide detached. The scrotum and penis carefully removed. The vaginal cavity gone. The blood drained. No discernible tracks were found near the carcasses, which were lying near an infrequently traveled road. Little blood was found on the ground and the cow was wedged up into a tree as if trying to escape from something.
quote:
“Johnny took me to the bull and I knew right off the bat something wasn’t right,” he said. “These animals weren’t shot, these animals were mutilated.” Using a metal detector, Reidhead looked for any sign of shell casings or bullet fragments on the ground or in the animals. He also noticed few signs of scavenging. “These animals were killed by a drug, they were not killed by any kind of bullet,” he said. “They were basically killed for their body parts.” Reidhead said the lack of scavengers on the carcasses was a clue. “We found the cattle almost a week after they were dead and not a single coyote, not a single bird, squirrel, chipmunk or whatever has even gotten near them,” he said. “Animals that have any kind of bad toxins inside their blood and inside their meat —most predators won’t touch them.”
Reidhead said he is continuing his investigation but so far has found limited signs of human activity at the sites. “The people who are doing this, I would say are professionals,” he said. “They know what they are doing.”

I had an experience that I can't explain...I moved to Louisiana in '98 and was staying at my girlfriend's house(her father's house after he died) for the weekend. We were watching a movie in the living room, which was next to the formal dining room. At one point in the movie, the screen went dark, with the dining room light being brighter than the living room. I distinctly saw a man walking from the dining room to the kitchen, in the reflection on the TV. I turned to look and my girlfriend asked what I was looking at.
I described the person I saw and she said that was just her dad, and that she was surprised I hadn't seen him before that night. She explained that he had died from a heart attack in that house and that he just kept an eye on her and the house to make sure she was OK.

If you conjur up a spirit it may never leave. So, don't conjur one that don't need conjuring!

Two people died in the house but I don't think that had anything to do with it
I currently live in a house where two people died just months apart, which I knew coming in. A very religious elderly lady had lived here and her two sons, both died of heart attacks a couple years prior.
While she was showing me the house one day I jokingly asked her "it's not haunted or anything right?" because it was such a nice house close to the beach and she was selling cheap, and we had been conversing about that. She laughed and said "nope, after each one died (her sons) I made sure they left happy and were with the lord. They're watching over us."
I thought it was peculiar but just something an old religious lady might say to make herself feel better. I will say, I've experienced a house that was haunted before (my grandpa's house on the middle of his farm in Keiser, AR was INSANELY haunted) and that made me a believer.
I just knew I was getting into the same thing here. As a kid, I had always had an overactive imagination and heard every bump in the night after experiencing my grandpa's VERY haunted house. I used to terrify myself.
This house is different though. If there was such a thing as a reverse-haunting, this house would be it; almost like the house removes all fear. Even in everyday things the house has a calming effect that puts you at peace and it's hard to worry.
I would think that I'm going crazy if my fiancee didn't feel it too. I explained the situation to her and her exact words were "why do you think we never went to my house when we were dating? Your house has a weird, but good feeling that I can't explain."
Even sitting here reading creepy posts I have a feeling of calm, my mind telling me "that can't happen here." I would've just taken what the old lady said in passing if there wasn't a legitimate feeling behind it, like I have guardian angels.
The feeling is hard to explain other than just calling it fearlessness, but I fully believe her two sons watch over this house.

Just forgot. To add to my above post. The other day it was 11 pm and I was the only one up unwinding down watching TV. My kid was sleeping in our room with my wife on one side of the house. Then all of a sudden my little kid’s toys start going off in the playroom on the other side of the house. Creepy. I go back there and the room light is off. I turn it on and it’s his push cart playing music and nothing is touching it and it only makes sounds if the buttons are pushed. Yeah, that kind of freaked me out.
My kid had a toy that played peek-a-boo. You have to physically activate it. But one night my wife got up to get a drink of water, and that damned toy turned on by itself saying "PEEK A BOO, I SEEEE YOUUUUU", in the pitch black house. She was scared shitless.
FYI some electronic devices "turn themselves on" when the batteries get weak. It's not intentional, just a side-effect of certain circuit designs. It's not always a ghost.

I never believed in ghosts until I went to work in a hospital ICU on night shift.Had about a dozen incidents for which there was no other explanation, mostly all associated with one particular room.On three occasions patients would put on call light, when answered the call they all described the same thing.A tall woman in long black dress would be standing in the corner of room staring at them with her arms crossed. One patient was nearly hysterical,we had no empty rooms so we traded rooms with a comatose patient. It was pretty awkward next morning when family wanted to know why we had moved their family member in the middle of the night.
Another thing, there was a nurses aide working ther when I started there that I got along well with. Her first name was Sybil but I never called her by her first name,it was always Mrs.———-. She had a son that was always in trouble. One night cops were chasing him and he crashed into tree and was killed. She “ lost it” and quit coming to work and eventually committed suicide.
One day we heard my 3 year old stepson talking and laughing in his room.My wife asked him who he was talking to and he replied his friend.Wife then asked if his friend was a girl or boy and he replied a girl. Then she asked what her name was and he said Sybil.
What are chances a 3 year old would come up with name Sybil for an imaginary playmate.I had talked about her to my wife but never called her by her first name. That went on for about a year. When he became an adult we asked if he remembered any of that and he said no.
I took a child psychology class and professor talked about children having imaginary playmates and that it was very common. After our experience,I wondered if it was imaginary playmates children had or was it a ghost or spirit that liked children.
Several other things happened that convinced me there are ghosts,spirits-whatever you want to call them.

So about 12 years ago I was at my mother in laws house in Jonesville LA. She was renting this old farm house. My wife, MIL and I were talking when all the sudden the TV started playing the wizard of oz. I went to turn it off but it wouldn't turn off. Then discovered the fricking TV was not even plugged in. All three of us witnessed this and still cant explain it. So idk

Who here believes in ghosts?
Not sure, but I've had a couple expierences I can't explain.
One time my Dad and I were metal detecting on some family land on what turned out to be an old plantation site. Complete with early 1800's graves and all. Way back up in the woods in an old field. Anyway, this particularly day the weather was on the warm side and it hadn't rained in a while. The field was, at the time, a pine field. Anyone who's spent time in the woods when its dry knows that its difficult to move without making sound. Keep in mind this wasn't all that far from Savannah.
Anyway, as I'm detecting I'm keeping my head down partly to watch for snakes. Seemingly out of nowhere, the hair on the back of my neck goes full attention and I get the feeling of being watched. It was creepy. Really creepy.
I look around and see nothing and go back to detecting. It happens again. I look up to see a man dressed in a Confederate grey uniform walking among the trees maybe 30 yards away. But here's the kicker. He was walking at normal speed but not making a sound at all. Completely silent. And as he did, he turned his head and looked at me. And then disappeared into the trees...just disappeared. Needless to say, I left quickly.
I'll post my other story later.

[Not sure if you're serious or trolling. Either way, my take will be a lengthy read for you. Sorry.]
If, by ghosts, you mean the souls or spirits of the deceased, no.
I recognize any television program purporting to investigate ghosts or the paranormal can fake "evidence", but one particular television episode illustrates my opinion on your question.
A few years ago, the plumbers by day, ghost hunters by night crew went to a toy store retailer in San Francisco to investigate "activity" Particularly if a beloved female employee named Jean, now deceased, was present and responsible for said "activity".
The investigators had no experiences and actually debunked voices heard in a particular area by demonstrating they emanated from a vent connecting directly to a busy street above with heavy pedestrian traffic.
The owner's daughter asked they pay particular attention to an area where Jean had spent a good part of her time. They did so and spent a good bit of time trying to establish contact with the deceased Jean to no avail. They went to great lengths talking to Jean affirming she was loved by the owner, his family, and the staff and welcome to hang around.
No contact. No activity. Nothing.
Except on the next day's review of their voice recorders they discovered a single Electric Voice Phenomenon (EVP)-supposedly a ghost's voice speaking-only picked up by a recording and otherwise inaudible to the human ear.
This "EVP" coincided precisely in time and place with the investigators' attempts to contact Jean.
As they usually did, the investigators, "revealed" and reviewed "evidence" with their client(?), the owner's daughter who brought in her father, the owner himself. All of his demeanor, facial expressions, monosyllabic interaction, and body language gave testimony to a businessman too busy to be wasting time with crap he didn't believe in.
The investigators noted their lack of any experiences, described the debunking of ghostly voices and the the total lack of infrared, pictorial, or television evidence. Only a single EVP from when they reached out to Jean asking if she remained there with her former employers.
They played that recording for their clients.
And I quote the EVP exactly.
It was unmistakable,!distinct, loud, and in a hollow, deep, male growl.
"There is No Jean."
The skeptical owner visibly started and paled and it unsettled everyone else. It was not a neutral or pleasant voice. It was quite unpleasant.
If that was not faked then you've got to consider the possibility that a disembodied entity of some sort, not the ghost of Jean, somehow imprinted its "voice" on the tape. Perhaps with an intention of instilling fear. Demonic seems to me as good a word as any to describe this sort of activity.
To me, it seems just as reasonable to suspect hostile demonic entities are behind much of what's paranormal and impersonate "ghosts" to confuse and camouflage their identity as it is to believe the spirits or souls of the deceased walk among us.
That being said, given your particular situation and events, if true, If it were me, I'd be looking for a Christian Priest to bless and pray for me, my family, and my property and forget about burning sage or incense on my own. Imho.
Prayers said for your situation, real or not. Either way, I hope this works out for y'all.

I do - when i was 7, my aunts house was haunted - you could be downstairs and hear a baby crying upstairs, and go upstairs and it would quit.
I have been to the Stanley in Estes Park, and been outside the room that is one of the haunted rooms and the hall be 1 temp, except for a child's height area next to me that was 10 to 15 degrees cooler.

Feel like I should update this thread after the bump yesterday.
We’ve not had any more blatant activity like what I posted about initially, but we both still experience that strange feeling of being watched. Our kids say they see “shadows” and it sometimes sounds like one of us is talking when we aren’t. The house at times just has a different feel about it, if that makes sense.
I did find something strange while scouting an area of our property for hunting. There was a nice sized deer skull and rack placed in a tree facing the house. It could have been dropped there by a bird or something as we have huge vultures on our property at times, but it was perfectly resting on two branches.
It sort of freaked me out to come across it.

We visited the Myrtles a few years ago. My son was about 12 at the time. We were standing by a mirror when the guide was telling the story about Chloe. She was a young slave who was killed for poisoning a cake or something. Her ghost supposedly likes to flirt with young male guests. Right when her story was finished my son fainted. He just fell to the ground. We brought him to the hospital just to make sure, but he was 100% healthy. To this day we can't explain it. We blame Chloe. Lol.

Years ago my best friend and I had a wallpaper , paint etc business in Baton Rouge . We were redoing an old Tudor house on Government. An old lady had died in it . An Episcopal priest bought it and was redoing everything. All the wood floors were stripped and everyone knew to stay off of them . One day it was only the three of us working so at lunch we left , grabbed a burger and ate while waiting for the owner . After the owner returned he entered the house that had been locked . He came back out very upset questioning which of us messed the floors up .
Something took a mop bucket with nasty water and a mop , painted hexagrams on the floor where the women had died .
The priest always thought we did it .

I've had a few experiences that I can't explain that still bother me. I'm not religious, and therefore didn't believe in anything beyond what I can see when they occurred.
My wife and I moved into a brand new, never before lived in home in 2010, and all of my experiences occurred in that house. The first time was Halloween night, 6 months after we moved in. At 3am I woke suddenly to a dim red light entering the room, like someone had their hand over a red flashlight. I was completely stricken with fear, not even normal flight or fight, but straight panic. I flipped out and grabbed my wife and threw her over me onto the ground on the other side of the bed as it approached. I started screaming something unintelligible as the light exited the room in the same path it came in, like someone hit rewind on a video. Grabbed a gun and turned on the lights. All the doors in the house were still locked. No explanation. I know what I saw, and was not drunk or under any influence.
The 2nd time, I threw away a cap on one of those pencil style hair trimmers in the bathroom trash can. It took a very odd bounce off the rim of the can, and onto the floor. I picked it up and deliberately dropped it straight into the can. I VIVIDLY remember it sitting in the bottom of the can because of the off way it seemed to bounce off thin air and miss the first time. 3am both my wife and I are woken by some strange sound. Then I hear the cap hit the ground in the bathroom. I know exactly what it is, because I heard the same cap bounce off the ceramic a few hours beforehand. I get up, flip on the lights and there it is on the floor in the middle of the bathroom.
There were a few other odd experiences in that house but those 2 I can't explain. We sold the house a few years later and I haven't had another experience since.

couldnt have been placed by there by a previous person let the skull get cleaned to make a skull mount? We do that often but generally you have to tie it to a limb and let it hang so nothing can drag it off but have seen others just set em in the fork of a tree
