FIFY

Very true.

However if I make that claim I’m frequently dismissed as indulging in gross hyperbole. I tone it down some to evangelize and bring in converts. I believe it’s the best film ever made. It’s only competitors, in my opinion, are The Best Years of Our Lives, It’s A Wonderful Life, Barry Lyndon, and, The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance .

The whole story behind how the play it’s based on ended up being the movie Casablanca became is book worthy. Several in fact have already been written.

Hell In A Very Small Space: The Siege of Dien Bien Phu

And I think this is a lost and forgotten classic probably because 60 Minutes, Mike Wallace, and left media made a crusade to destroy Lt. Col. Anthony B. Herbert. Soldier
It’s so similar to Col. Hackworth’s Steel My Soldier’s Hearts you’d think they shared an outline. Regimental leadership and above sometimes comes off looking very bad.

These may not be your cup of tea for your trip but they are invaluable history of our involvement.

As they say, there are rules…

But we know from the film she was considering it and Rick thought Captain Renault would.

The whole transaction has one of the film’s best lines.

Annina: Monsieur Rick, what kind of a man is Captain Renault?

Rick: Oh, he's just like any other man, only more so.

Oh, thank you.”

She is not a conspiracy theory type but she thinks Savanna is hiding something.

I thought that too and I think she may know officially her mother is dead and is being used by law enforcement to keep trying to reach out to the perpetrator(s).

Her last brief communication was tough to watch.

Once the Union had control of the Tennessee Mississippi and Cumberland Rivers the South was dead in the water. New Orleans controlled access to the sea. Control of the other two meant that the Union could float and land armies into the heart of Confederate territory.
Grant and Sherman’s ’ recovery at Missionary Ridge after the bloodbath at Chicamagua was as strategically significant as any battle fought in the East and supports your point. If not earlier, the Confederate States’ were certainly done in after Chattanooga,

Your honor:
You are unconstitutionally trodding on the Executive Branch’s turf.

Pound sand.

Respectfully,

There was nothing misanthropic in my comment insofar as I’m aware. So quoting a dictionary isn’t really engaging with my comment, opinion, or point of view.

(and replaced it with things that are not)
Yes we agree she certainly has. It’s probably easier for us to see that in her because her physical defacement seems a pretty clear expression of her damaged spirit and soul.

As far as the moniker goes, it relates to a humorous tongue in cheek, back and forth ongoing conversation with my priest. God commands I love my neighbor, my fellow man; but do I have to like him? I asked him-tongue in cheek-if Christian Misanthropy wasn’t an acceptable philosophy. Something like, I will love my neighbor as myself but I don’t promise to like him, especially if he’s part of a mob.

It’s ironic that recently on TD there’s been discussion of just how much people have come to dislike other people in general and why. If you haven’t already, you might check out that thread and post your definition there because some of those opinions make my “misanthropy” pale in comparison.

"So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female he created them."
It surely demonstrates satan’s effective defacement of imago Dei. In her case, if, in fact, she’s “a bag of crazy” as the OP suggested, possibly her spirit and soul, as well as her outward physical appearance has been marred.

In Christian thought, men and women, it’s believed, are created whole integrated persons consisting of spirit, soul, and body reflecting they were created triune beings by the triune God-having in themselves aspects of deity. Rationality. Intelligence. Creativity, and so forth.

Since the beginning, according to this line of theological reasoning, it’s been satan’s aim to deface God’s image in men and women and destroying their ability to relate to their Creator and subsequently to each other.

If you look at men’s ability to murder their fellow men without a twinge of conscience, a woman’s ability to murder her child in her womb for convenience, husbands and wives inability to remain faithful to their wedding vows, raise their children properly, the plethora of acceptable sexual appetites beyond heterosexual marriage, the madness inherent in many political philosophies, and the transgender fiasco, the tattooed girl of many piercings seems a fairly tame example.

Gerrymandering for political advantage is not a problem according to SCOTUS, if I’m recalling correctly.

I think they have ruled it’s not constitutionally supportable if district lines are drawn or redrawn on a racial basis.

I’m pretty sure I read that the guy California Democrats hired to do their maps stated in several platforms that creating and strengthening Latino districts based on race guided his efforts.

I’m not sure POTUS gave an explanation of their decision, but I’m fairly sure there were no dissenting opinions offered.

It appears they screwed this up.
