Drew is worth 9 figures or close to it.

He got 60 million from his 1st Saints deal and he's already been paid 80 from the 2nd one.

Yeah, taxes and all but he's probably been investing in more than just Jimmy John's and Nyquil.

Hell, if he put some coin in the market in 2009, God only knows how much he's got.

About a fifth of that.

NFL agents take a max of 3%.

ETA: and that's assuming the agent took 3% before taxes.

After taxes and the agent gets about 610k.

I think you would have to be very careful if you won, but I'd take my chances.

One of the most important things would be to keep some structure. I think most of the people who get f*cked up with too much $$$ don't have a plan.

You realize that you would instantly be worth 2,000% more than Drew Brees ?

Except you'd still have like 99% less fame than him. You'd still pretty much be unrecognized by the vast majority of the people and the few select people that care about who won aint going to do shite to you.

False, Brees makes that much in a year, before you count any endorsements. You're being really stupid about this.

I'm comfortable with handling money so I'm pretty sure I could handle that part of it. But honestly I wouldn't have much use for more than $5 million or so just to be sure everything's taken care of no matter what. I mostly live life like I want to anyway.

That said, with that much money I could marry a devastatingly good-looking Russian woman half my age who understands I'll trade her in for a younger model in 20 years and won't make a fuss provided I throw 50 mil or so her way. So there's that.

Not exponentially. Unless he is just awful with his money (he's not), or you have a really incorrect definition of exponential.

Talking about athletes or self made rich people is never relevant here. The abruptness of this situation makes it completely different.

Everyone here who says they want to win would change their mind if they actually did. Would you want to give up everything you have now including any good relationships you have with family and friends? All that would change even if you didn't want it to. You'd have to hire bodyguards, worry about your children's safety, deal constantly with people wanting your money. Not worth it to me.
