Absolutely No One. Not even my kids. However i am setting my kids up for success.
We bought both kids a decent vehicle after they had been driving for a while, but I wouldn't co-sign for one.
If you can't get financing on your own you either can't afford it or have bad enough credit where you obviously have bills in the past that haven't been paid.

I'll Probably be co-signing for my son who finished college in December and is working and starting his career. He has little credit history. He has his eyes set on a brand new truck. So, I see it in my not-too-distant future.
Don’t do it! You have to teach him responsibility. Make him buy a junker for a few years until he gets his credit up.

I would not recommend it. My wife signed for a close relative and its been a nightmare. The person has let her insurance lapse 4 times. That affects my wife also, her license can't be renewed till that is cleared off the record. This last time she is close to 1500$ behind in fees and fines and begging for use to bail her out again. In reality, she probably hasn't paid an insurance payment in over a year, she just depends on us to bail her out of the fees and fines and paperwork. Just because she is either too lazy to pay it or don't think she should have to, idk, her car is impounded now

Wife or kid. That’s it. Anyone else would be a problem. Kid can be a problem.
