I'm a CCs or PJs person, but I get the same thing everywhere, cafe au lait. Its coffee with a little milk. I won't order from Starbucks, I regularly drink my coffee black, and even with creme there coffee is nasty.

I've heard that they basically burn the beans to give it a consistent flavor. Pike's Place might be the worst coffee on the planet

Their store coffee does taste like shite.
I get the bag of Cafe Verona from the grocery though and that shite is terrific when I brew it at home.

I agree. Their regular coffee is terrible. Cstore next to my local Starbucks sells community so that’s where I get my morning cup

Community is BR. PJ's was also started here. South LA also has many small brewers. Just around New Orleans, there are probably 10.
So yeah, I'd say we're holding it down in the coffee industry

I only drink black coffee and Starbucks is by far the worst coffee I've ever had. Period and it's not even close.
Normally it's no big deal cause I just won't go there for coffee....however what I can't freaking stand is the fact they've taken over Marriott. So now every time I stay at a Marriott or have meetings there my only coffee option is Starbucks.

You can't beat McD's plain ol cup of coffee especially when they run $1 cup any size.
