From 1990 onward I might agree, but the degree of separatists movements that were dampened by liberalization and the formation of the EU can't be understated. The Post-EU era has seemingly washed away lots of recent history, and perhaps has given a false impression.

This isn't close to being true and may be one of the dumbest things I've ever read on this board and that's saying a lot. Much of American food is a copy of or bastardization of what is made in Europe. Like what most Americans call "Italian" food.

Not really. That why I mentioned Italian food which is so much more varied and complex than what you get in the states.

There are plenty of trashy poors in Europe. The only people who have this complex about European cultural supremacy are bitter suburban yankees who shop at whole foods and just generally live the most gauche stereotypically American lifestyle imaginable.

And yet without America the world would probably suck more than it does now. Maybe we should go all in on the Trump mentality and say frick the world and see how things go.

Europe is so much better than the US, I don't understand why Americans can't just admit that their lives are trash compared to Europeans.

Not really

And I lived in Europe for over 3 years, visiting over 15 different countries during that timespan.

Props for getting an obvious troll to yield 6 pages though.

Look, I'm not arguing the US vs Europe being better thing but to say just because we have Italians living in America that I can go to a restaurant and get a wonderful representation of every type of Italian food from every region is silly.

Nice troll attempt, but if you truly feel like this move there and don't come back. FWIW I have been to Europe, if I never go back I will be fine. I found the people to be rude and over all it was dirty with garbage everywhere.
