I think bottle beats cans any day. There is definitely a difference.

Now if we can only pass a prohibition on Light Beer, that would be swell.

Why does coke (the drink, not the drug) take better is a glass bottle than it does in a can? Its being stored in two different elements, that has an impact on the taste.

I dunno, but one of the best refreshers after a hot day is a bottle of beer that is so cold that it is juuust beginning to freeze.

Because 99% of cokes in glass bottles are made with sugar and not HFCS

Nah. If you are drinking directly from glass, it's better. Draft is best, and it's served in a glass. I like my coffee 100x better in a glass container vs. the to-go cups or my metal hydro flask thing. Pour a beer out into a glass though - same. As stated earlier, the can keeps beer much better, and the lining in cans makes it work. It's your mouth on the top that changes the taste.

This may be the gayest post I've ever read here.

Assuming you read your own threads that is saying something though on a slightly more literal tact. That being said I enjoy most of your posts, they generally make me smile, whether accurate or fantasy I always figured you as someone very comfortable in your skin.

As for my post being lame, I completely get it and unless I am being intentionally sophomoric most of my posts are not structured for upvotes, I am happy to go hot with my opinions. My wife and I both like beer and whisky and I have always found it interesting that drinking and appreciating good whiskey is a "man" thing but drinking and appreciating anything but typical domestic pilsners is somehow gay. I do understand the damage that the IPA crowd has done.

IMO people that will ONLY drink ice cold domestics don't actually like the taste of beer. It is like whisky if you are drinking that Irish dreck Proper 12 you want it on the rocks and near freezing so you don't taste or smell it. If you do that it is drinkable a typical alcohol delivery system. Now if you are drinking a dram of Balvenie Double Wood you will have a much better experience drinking it from a Glencairn at room temp with only maybe a couple of drops of RO water. There is nothing wrong with either but a decent Scotch can be a much more enjoyable experience.

Over the years my wife and I have gone out "drinking" with a lot of people and especially a lot of women say "I don't like beer" and I always reply by the end of the night you will like at least one. I go to the bar get one of each of my goto beers and a stack of glasses and come back and start proselytizing. I have never failed and only once had to return to the bar for the hole card which for women is a not too tart Lambic.

I can and do enjoy a few ice cold Buds etc usually when someone else is providing them and they can be steller on the boat or at a BBQ but there is so much more to beer even if you feel like you should have a man bun when you order it. I am quite comfortable in my beer-drinking skin.

If you truly wanting a cold beer then add rock salt to the ice. Will drop the freezing temperature and you’ll have a really cold bottle of beer.

This works great after making homemade ice cream; drop in a couple of bottles of beer and Coke into the slurry for about 30-60 minutes then enjoy the coldest drinks you’ve ever had.

Just seems like the can is colder than the bottle. An ice cold green Oil Can after a couple hrs in the yard is a gift from the gods.

Same reason why Dr.Pepper in glass bottle tastes better than Dr.Pepper in aluminum cans/plastic bottles.
