Was she a contemporary of Mama D from Phat, Phat, And All Dat? Might not remember the exact program name.

There’s a mom and pop restaurant near me that my kids frequently choose as their Saturday night dinner option. I order carry out and the order’s always ready when I get there. If I don’t go for a few weeks, they ask where I’ve been. They were closed for the least amount of time possible during the Scamdemic.

When I pick up my order, I always add a modest tip. It’s my way of thanking them for their work ethic.
I know a person who works in a “clinic” that deals with immigration. He says it’s mostly helping English As A Second Language folks fill out paperwork to renew and maintain their legal status. Sounds pretty boring.
I’m going to withhold judgment until I find out what a “crime advisor” does. She appears to be highly qualified if it involves more effective and efficient criminal activity.

With Route 66 being so popular in places like Europe and Japan, I wonder if they often come here and are disappointed by it. It’s not exactly the Swiss Alps.

I became pretty good friends with a couple of guys from Belgium in grad school. When school would have a break for a week or more, they’d rent a car and just drive to some distant point. Once, they’d rent just wanted to see the Pacific and another time they wanted to drive the east coast up to New England.

I worked with a guy who lived in England. He made an annual trip to Las Vegas because he could rent an exotic car there, drive out to the desert, and go pedal to the metal.

In Plano, a woman I know was at a red light and poured the contents (water) of a bottle of water out on the road. A cop was behind her and pulled her over. She said the cop’s reason was that she did it right in front of him; he was offended. He ran her ID and let her go with a warning about littering because she didn’t have any warrants, etc.

Kamala identified the difficulty of sending illegals from Venezuela, Cuba, Haiti, and Nicaragua as a root cause of the U.S.’ illegal immigration problem. Sounds like she and Trump are on the same page.

Maybe she should go on Joe Rogan’s podcast to make her argument.

I tell the cashiers that money is the root of all evil so saving money would only make me more evil.
The single-payer is the taxpayer so call it what it is: taxpayer-funded healthcare.
Do some basic investigation of your own. I used the maps app to pick one smallish church on the stretch of Jewella you mentioned. It’s a registered church but it’s also an incorporated Bible college and seminary.

I can see how churches would flourish there because of the huge apartment complex at the end of Jewella and residences in the neighborhood. It would be easy enough to look into the finances of the seminary Corp, who is on the faculty, who gets paid what, what support the government provides including student loans, etc. The assumption is the church and seminary are above board and an asset to the community unless you can prove otherwise.

I was driving a rental in some Chicago suburb on a very foggy morning before dawn. I knew a toll booth was coming up but by the time I could see the signs, I was corralled in a “tag only” lane. I didn’t have a choice so I ran it.

The rental company sent me a bill a few weeks later.
