Hmm, well what has Louisiana done for me?
1. Fun childhood playing competitive sports and enjoying the outdoors
2. Bargain quality college education at LSU with a terrific college environment
3. Bargain medical doctorate at LSU
4. Delicious food and fun-loving people (in general)
5. Low cost of living
6. Family and lifelong friends live there.
It's not perfect, but I'm not quitting on my state because when it's good, it's damned good.

I moved to Austin and everytime I go back to visit I'm reminded of why I got the frick out of there. Great place to visit, but not to live. This is especially true in the New Orleans area.
