Guess it’s better than not having a job. Sure she’ll be back to 40 in a month. Large industry. Worldwide.

Your dermatology clinic needs to get with the times and become essential by selling cigarettes and 40s so you can open back up.

Snowball stands? CBD stores? Seems to me like routine medical care is just as important but I guess I’m biased.

Apply for unemployment, you won't qualify for the state unemployment, but you will for the $600 federal portion.
This means your wife will make $75/hr on her day off.

Can you get the federal unemployment check for one day??

The company I work for considers 32 hours to be full time as well. I'm guessing its only a matter of time before we're cut to 32.

Unemployment is defined by the state. States typically define unemployment as laid off, furloughed or reduced hours. Reduced hours is compared to a base period which is usually the average of the 3 months prior to the reduction.
Most (maybe all) of the states will not pay you any state unemployment if you are reduced to 4 days bc your pay from those 4 days will be deducted from your unemployment calculation to reach zero. Unless you make minimum wage and are in a higher WBA (max weekly benefits) state.
If you recall, the Republican Senators tried to amend the $600 fed unemployment (for 4 months) prior to the CARES ACT passing. This was one of the reasons why they wanted an amendment.
In summary, if your state consider's a reduced hour furlough to qualify as unemployment, even if you would not receive monetary support, the $600/wk fed stimulus should still apply and grant you $600/wk for up to 4 months during the period where you have reduced hours.

You should have six months expenses saved anyway, you're not an airline.

Let's hope so. I "qualified" for state unemployment, but was awarded no weekly money because what I make in 32 hours is considered "excessive earnings" for state unemployment.

Our Dermatology clinic where we regularly screen for melanoma among treating other serious medical issues has been shut down, yet the corner store that sells cigarettes, cigarillos, Swisher sweets, optimos and 40s is business as usual. Doesn’t quite add up to me.
My girls office and other small offices have closed but the bigger offices are open.
