I cant imagine anything I want to do more than stand outside the entire time in southern Mass, even if I have to deal with the cleanup.

Expecting two feet of snow. Should be a fun weekend.

But we have garage parking and pay a company to shovel the driveway, so I don’t have to deal with the shitty parts of a snow storm.

I just get to let the dogs loose in the yard and enjoy the views. Downside is still being in dry January and not getting to enjoy some bourbon and red wine. Snow storm drinking >>> hurricane drinking, and I loved hurricane drinking

Emergency rules trump everything. These are not normal times.

Did you make it to the Cape yet? Traffic getting out of here is going to be a nightmare this afternoon I’m guessing.

wondered if you'd moved out to the burbs yet. That sounds great tbh but I'd much rather visit the city then live there.

Thanks for reminding me I need to get beer! And I agree, national disasters are all bets off on dry jan.

Excited to try out my gas snowblower (first year owning one). I tried to run it last storm without precoating the gears with lubricant.. big mistake. Ice stuck auger froze up.. etc snow wouldn't blow. F'n rookie/coonass mistake i guess.

Nope, bought a place in Boston proper a couple years ago. I’d rather be in the city, but to each their own.

We also don’t have kids, so much different situation than y’all.

No.. by all means I love it.

You know.. I just saw CommanderData and PJs respective posts and had to try to steal the OT headlines back.

Just salted and put up snow markers right before it started falling. Perfect timing for a happy dad break

How so?

I moved up here in 2013 a month before WS Nemo (30in in 3 days). I find it helps gives context to what noreaster you are referring to when talking to someone.

Nemo we got like 3 feet over 1 weekend. This was my dodge ram buried

We normally get our groceries for the week on saturdays. Had to do it today instead.

Whole Foods is a shitshow.

Whoever gets under that warm front aloft is going to see absurd snowfall rates. 4"/hr type snowfalls.
