Things may still be frozen here and I'm not sure about the time table for Baltimore and Atlanta.

Why would Wednesday be a bad travel day? Looks like Tuesday is the worse day
the weather tuesday is going to affect travel for days after.. this isn't a one day event

Yesterday was a horrible traffic day even though Friday was the worse weather day
Plus with highs around 40 Wednesday it may not all melt til Thursday

Most now forecasts are backing off the amount of snow predicted.

looking like a huge ice event, but the forecasts haven't said we would get much snow accumulations, but they never do say it, even when we do

Ice Storm of '94
That was the one I was thinking of. I was in Nashville. We didn't have power for a week and it never warmed up. It was brutal cold. I remember trying to sleep the first night and all you could hear were trees breaking in half throughout the neighborhood.

I wouldn't be surprised if Tuesday and Wednesday are deleted by the LSU mods.

Say bye to Mardi Gras break then.
Not like people are going to show up on Mardi Gras Day.
True...and I bet most professors wouldn't either, but you'd still get the stick-up-the-butt teachers that would still have class then and have a homework assignment due or a test or something.

I'll be getting groceries tomorrow after work. Then time to hunker down.

I'm not worried about that, I can walk to Fresh Market as long as it's open

Lol, where were you on Friday?
Posted on 1/26/14 at 8:11 pm to BottomlandBrew
I remember leaving the milk and eggs in the ice on the front porch. But we had a fireplace. A lot here don't.

I'd be pissed if I have to go to school super early in the morning, only to be stuck on campus for the rest of the day
