Baldwin on I-49 between Franklin and New Iberia is another speed trap with a mayor's court.
Last year my wife and I were driving back from Grand Isle in separate vehicles. She was ahead of me and we had our cruise controls set on 75 mph (70 mph speed limit). We drove over a bridge and a Baldwin cop was at the bottom. He pulled my wife over and wrote her a ticket for 80 in a 70. I called him over to my truck and flat out told him he was full of shite and we would fight it. Wife went to hillbilly court and Boss Hog let her off with a $40 fine.
frick all these podunk shite hole towns that do this.

The Chief Of Police is the crooked one in that town. He doesn't discipline the officers who have even admitted in court to pulling people over for no reason. There are more articles of these types of incidents in Woodworth. It's definitely not a race thing.
