he speaks for himself. I am a millennial and have 3 different watches for different outfits.
also this needs to be retired. Some millenials are almost 40
meaning the bulk of millennial men are watch wearers
I think you mean Gen Z.

I wear a Citizen EcoDrive every day that I really like. I have had it for about 5 years now.

Check out Jack Mason Brand out of Dallas. That's my every day watch. I think they run about $350 or so.

Wait, you must wear a watch if you're a professional?
I'm a professional and did not know this.

Can you post an example of the Timex combination you mention below? Looking for something utilitarian and have been considering the Expedition collection, 40 mm and a silicone strap.
I also like the new Timex Marlin series, a revival of their midcentury look as an everyday dress watch.

What do you want on it other than time and date? Or do you just like the inner-dial appearance?
Wife got me the blueface/blue dial Citizen Promaster Diver. I find it very classically boring in a great way. It's got time/date. Quality is all I could ask for in the price range. I'm not particularly rough on it, but I've given it a few pretty good bumps on the glass, but it just takes them in stride. I'd recommend it if you can do without the panda style, or find one they offer similar to it if you can't:

That exotic dial Daytona 6239 is a reverse panda, this 6263 Big Red is a Panda.
For a less expensive Panda chrono I normally recommend the Hamilton Intra-matic 68 but it is a automatic so it is over your budget.
Certina has several pandas in the DS line
Orient has the Neo 70s panda
The Certinas and the Orient can be found for under $250.

I love my Seiko Pepsi as my everyday watch, and maybe I got a lemon, but I have to wind that fricker every morning. It’s like 8 hours off after only being off my wrist for 12 hours or so.
Ok, I need this clarified: are you saying it gains/loses time, or that it stops running?

Whether it is losing that much time or running out of power reserve it is "broken".
Not sure which "Pepsi" you have, most likely either a Turtle or SKX but both the 4R36 and 7S26 movements should have at least 40 hours of power reserve and the magic lever should make them very quick to fully wind unless you never move your arm.

A lot of people are missing the OP wants a panda dial watch. That is normally a chronograph with a white dial and black subdials which gets its name from looking like a panda's face.

Yeah, I’m assuming it’s just stopping. And I know it’s brokwn, but it’s a pain in the arse to send in and get fixed, but I may wind up biting the bullet. And it’s the SKX.

Assuming it isn't under warranty the cheapest thing to do to fix it would be to replace the movement. You can get a new Seiko 7S26 for ~$50 and it takes about 30-45 mins for even an amateur watchsmith like myself to switch a 3 hand movement out.
Let the watch fully run down and set the watch to 12 (since it is a date watch it makes it easy to align the hands/calender mech). Remove the caseback, release the crown, unscrew the movement fixing screws, remove the movement, remove the hands and then dial. Reverse.
Not suggesting you should do it yourself just showing how easy it is. All that said given new ones are about $200 it is hard to justify even paying someone to switch out the movement. If you sourced the movement (easy on eBay) North East Watch Works could switch them out pretty cheap I would suspect. He is a modder and doesn't do service but uncasing and recasing movements is something he does all the time.

I have an SKX009. Just buy a new one.

I'm gonna further that suggestion and say if you are gonna change out the movements, I'd change to a 4R36 movement though it'll require a different stem and crown. I am not a fan of autos that do not hack and/or hand wind. I will say I have a spare 7S26 laying around you can have for very cheap.
