Not really. It’s an old belief but it’s a marginal at best difference. Overall calorie intake and just general eating patterns are what matter. Some have even shown that not eating breakfast impacted weight loss more and eating a larger breakfast contributed to weight gain.
Schedule is certainly a factor to work, eating and exercise.
But studies have shown it’s best to eat and hydrate after you’ve slept for hours during the night and to refuel your body.

I prefer lunch but a nice bowl of oatmeal can help carry me through the day.

Awesome advice I appreciate it
People overthink this way too much (I used to be the same). Calories in vs calories out will work for 100% of people 100% of the time. Weightloss however is never linear and people will respond differently than others. Some may drop weight fast initially and then plateau and some will be a gradual more liner process. Some will respond better to lower carb plans and some do better with higher carbs. That is where people get frustrated and throw their hands up and say calories in vs calories out doesn't work for them, because someone else they know lost the weight faster. In reality, they most likely weren't accurately tracking it.
That isn't to say that there aren't some other things that can make losing weight harder, but at the end of the day it will work if adhered to with accuracy. Focus on real foods as much as possible, plenty of fiber, protein, and satiable foods. Leave some room in your diet for your guilty pleasure foods and don't just go cold turkey from them, you'll eventually relapse and overindulge.
