Housing prices in Southeast Louisiana

Just heard two of the top real estate experts dicussing the impact of the oil spill and the dirlling moratorium on Louisiana. Their research says that the S.E. Louisiana will see a housing valuation decrease anywhere from 5 to 15% with some areas seeing as much as a 30% decrease in value.
Both are very pessimistic on the overall short term prospects for Louisiana now.

I have personally tabled plans to sell and rebuild bc of prices.

mainly the oil spill. Who wants to live near oily water which may be void of life for years and if there is life may not be for human consumption
