thats the most discouraging thing .... no matter how many folks are out there and no matter how hard they work, this problem is only getting worse..... until they cap it, we are just making it less worse ....it will be nice when we are actually making everything better

It's not nearly as bad as it seems. What you people are seeing on tv is really blown out of proportion. A lot of this oil will probably never make it ashore.

Maybe so but to what expense to the marine life. Too many people's livelihoods depends on the marine life of the gulf. I'd just as soon see the marine life spared and the beaches spoiled. At least the beaches can be cleaned up. The bottom of the gulf will never see any clean-up.

MOST marine life should be fine in reality
the oil isnt a blanket, its spreaded out vastly which is a blessing for fishies and shrwimps

We're over 60+ days into this and the marine life is still surviving. I'm overlooking Barataria Bay as I typing this, the dolphins are still swimming and diving as usual. We ate at the Barataria Restaurant the other night and I ate one of the best seafood gumbo's I've ever had.
It'll be alright. I'd be willing to bet that this whole thing will be over with by next years shrimping season.

how very scientific. maybe you should give USF, aTm, LSU, etc. oceanography departments your assessment.

I disagree that the worst isn't over. They are captureing oil now which mean less is making its way to the surface. They will soon be capturing double.
And even if that doesn't mean that capture it all at that point then the rest will likely be capture at the well sight on the surface by the skimmers.

Both BP and the MSM continue to lie about how big the spill really is.

There are now reports of an oil sheen just offshore of Cuba. This implies the oil has reached the southeastern extent of the loop current and could continue east through the Florida straights.

This is already SIGNIFICANTLY larger than the Valdez fiasco. The effects are STILL being felt there.....but you think it will be gone by next years shrimping season.....

"Ok, I just came from a friend of my dad's for a fathers day dinner, anyway he was a crabber here on the Gulf coast who is now subcontracted for BP, anyway, they came to them last week wanting next of kin information, these are the guys working the boats putting out booms, he said it is all a sham, all the rumors are true about them moving crews around for media, he said there is so much we are not being told, that there is such a black out, he said they were told last week of the dangers of the methane causing the boats to sink is a real possibility, he looked really shaken, he said they still do not have reperators, he said they have been told not to talk to media, he said there would be no warnings if the worst were to happen, that it would happen and all be over in a heart beat. I am sick to my stomach as I write this, it means we really are all sitting ducks, this man has known me all of my life and he is one of my dads best friends, he is not a fear monger. He said that if he had a way to warn us he would but there would be no way because the methane would take them all out so fast. I asked him why is he going back tomorrow, he said he had no choice, his whole lively hood is gone, he has a family to take care of, he looked so defeated. I came home told my husband all of this and he said that he was not going to live with doom and that what was he going to do, just up and leave his job, lose his time at work, leave our home etc.... I said yes, we have 2 little boys that don't deserve this, he walked out of the room and went back to his xbox"

See Valdez. Read about the studies conducted today about the effects, they are still feeling them. This is a much larger situation...but don't let facts get in your way.

You're an idiot
20 years later they still feel the effects
Read those hoss. Keep being an idiot, or maybe you're paid by BP to spread disinfo.....either way, you're still wrong.

I give you real world examples....can you find JUST ONE that supports your assertion that "all is well" and there will be no problems?
Just one......seriously, I'll wait. Otherwise you're the hack.
