reasons for bp not ot just plug it up

i was thinking(yes it hurts), that bp has done a cost analysis and figured out the cost of pluging up current leaks with anything and having to completely redrill vs the cost of damage control and trying to figure out a way to fix leaking line. for instance, the had a video of one of the leaks and the camera was completely steady, and visual was perfect, so if they can get a camera down there, why cold they not get a barge load of rock/cemenet, whaterver and cover it up? seems like the are trying to delay this move ntil the cost of clean up will reach the cost of redrilling.

No, covering it up doesnt stop the leak, probably wouldn't even slow it down.

No, makes no sense.
1.The well is a total wreck. They'd have to redrill it anyway.
2. They're already drilling 2 relief wells.
