It's weird that people were hard on Simone Biles for not competing that time, but are now piling on Vonn for competing through adversity. I respect the hell out of it. To still be one of the top athletes without your ACL must mean you're pretty damn good.

ACL injuries hurt initially, but after inflammation is subsided, become pretty comfortable. Until and action happens that makes if "catch"
So with modern day braces, etc...an all can be kinda a non factor. Obviously, an intact acl is always better
This was a one off accident that probably had zero to do with the previous all injury.
Its a broken bone ffs, not a torn up knee

Really too bad. She takes risks on the course that make her great, but obviously can also result in crashes…
