That's the half ton versions only. Ford and GMs 10 speeds in the HD's are their own designs.

I have to disagree wholeheartedly. I drive and F150 FX4 and the wife(no pics) drove a 2wd GMC LTZ. That F150 rode much better than her Gotta Mechanic Coming (GMC)

These GMC/Chevy ride comments made me think of all the soccer moms driving around in Tahoes which led me to think “why the hell doesn’t ram make an 8-passenger SUV based on their 1500?”

Truth, GM had the most reliable 1/2 ton on the market from a drive trane standpoint, they have ruined that.

The new 10 speed trannies are solid. The 4L60 and 6L80 trannies were awful but I have a 2020 GMC Sierra with the 5.3L/10spd and I smoke my friends 16 F150 5.0L.
GM's ride better too. My previous F150's we beat me up when travelling for work and have my back all messed up.

There is a class action for the 5.3 around the lifters and on the 8 speed, I thought one for the 10 speed to but not sure.
