Very cool.
We do a tax free weekend every year for school supplies and guns and ammo (on the same weekend) .... here in SC.
Sends the libs in the yankee state of NC into a rage, like clockwork. We're their Mexico and they're our ....... well, U.S. yankee libtard neighbors to the north.
They wish they were in the SEC.
We wish they all would be stricken with Herod's Crotch.

Did this change from last year? I seem to remember corn was tax free last year and they had people lined up with trailers stocking up at the feed store.

Not last year. It was excluded for 2023 also.

This year the holiday falls on September 1-3, 2023. The holiday begins on Friday, September 1, at 12:01 a.m. and ends at midnight on Sunday, September 3, 2023.
Hunting supplies do not include the purchase of animal feed, float tubes, off-road vehicles such as ATVs or vessels such as airboats. Pirogues are still eligible for the exemption.

A strict reading of the RIB and RS would say no, but I don't know. Can't a chrono be used for anything (not just firearms)?
My assumption is that the big box stores wouldn't exclude it, while the little guys may. Report back once you try it

Well shite. I was planning on getting corn and seed/fertilizer.
Guess I'll have to buy that pistol.

Feed store in Ellic just confirmed that corn will be tax free next weekend.

EuroOptic said they should be participating in the tax-free portion as well.

Yes. I think I posted a thread about this earlier this year. I've been trying to let all the gun folks/shops I know about it too. Free money each year.

How about chainsaws? I planned on buying one this weekend anyway. Would be icing on top if it was tax free
