I shoot Choice ammo in my .270wsm. I think I may order 6-5 creedmoor 143grain hornady-eld-x from choice

129gr hand load is the baddest load i've ever shot with a gun. The damage is unbelievable and rarely does one run farther than 10 yds

And likely at least double the recoil. Energy comes at a cost. The 6.5 isn't black magic. Its just a very efficient caliber. Its like the old saying goes "the funny thing about recoil is that almost everyone shoots better with less of it"
You've got to be disciplined to shoot the 300 WSM. It was a challenge for me at first, but I feel I've improved significantly. Having a soft trigger pull helps.

Ive had four deer killed w the sst and everyone of them blew up on contact. If they had been marginal shots I would’ve never found a drop of blood
What part of the deer did the bullets hit?
How far were the shots?
I hunt w/ a 15" handgun in 260 Rem and am considering what bullets to load next year. Thanks.
