Thank you for explaining. As far as the Venom, that's a bummer. I almost got the Viper but I didn't want to have to reset it everytime I had to change the battery.
Oh wait I have them mixed up. I have both and I forget the name venom or viper. The one that makes you re sight after having to take it off to change the battery is the one I don't like. I have run both on that gun. I like the one that has the battery compartment on top.

Nah they are Zenith MKE Z-5P and Z-5RS. Made on the same machines as HK but not HKs.

Well, since I hope to go some prairie dog hunting trips this summer, I'll post pics of my two favorite prairie dog hunting handguns. Both are Remington XP-100's, a 6BR (top) and 22BR (bottom).

Recently I've been going to panhandle of OK. I've previously been to SW KS, NW KS and SE CO on semi-guided hunts. NW TX/NE NM were good trips until the plague hit the pd populations at the National Grasslands (Rita Blanca in TX and Kiowa in NM). Plague hit the Rita Blanca 4 years ago and the Kiowa last year. Their biologists said it normally takes about 10 years for the population to recover.

My favorite gun to shoot. Quick on target and built like a damn tank.

I would but, alas, all mine were lost when my boat sunk during covid19 tornado!
