We get 'em all year long here in the desert. The trick is to hummingbird friendly environment. Certain plants (with bright colors) and feeders are a big plus.

Do all of them leave during the winter? I am almost positive I have seen them at my parents house over the last few months.

My Martins came in mid Jan. Up to 17 eggs already.
