You can definitely dial your gun in better if you reload.
As an example, my grendel, my 1st loads I couldn’t get better than 8” groups. I was ready to buy a new barrel and write the one I have off. Kept messing with it and found that it really likes Nosler 120 ballistic tips.
Got less than .5” group at 100yds with those pushing 2450fps.

My son shot his first this past year with a Federal Fusion 223 and it grenaded the inside. Dropped it within 20 yards from about 95 yards away.

That’s what I keep loaded in my SxS AR. I’ve killed hogs with it but never a deer. I’d shoot at a broadside deer with it though if I had the opportunity. It’s the Barnes TSX 62gr.
