Baton Rouge area BREC parks stocking ponds with catfish

For all of you looking for bank fishing spots around the city of Baton Rouge:
October 28th: The LDWF Inland Fisheries Hatchery team released 1,750 year-old channel Catfish (8-12") into several BREC ponds and the Lamar Dixon Expo Center.

Zachary Community Park 170
Central Sports Park 220
Howell Community Park 220
Lamar Dixon 590
Last week, LDWF's Inland Fisheries Hatchery team released 342,600 redear sunfish into Cheniere Brake Lake and 300,600 into Lacassine NWR.
Hatchery & District biologist also teamed up with the Red River Water Commission to stock 18,000 Florida & hybrid bass (4-6") in Red River Pools 1-2.
The remaining Red River Pools are scheduled to be stocked in the coming weeks.

It's usually late December or early January. They can't take the heat.

Those are some slow growing catfish.
