Tom Mitzlaff, the guy who designed the Solo Skiff, is just starting a venture to make a Panga Skiff, which will be a 20 foot American made panga. He has a Facebook Group which provides updates on the design and production process. For a lower cost alternative for coastal fishing, these look very promising.

Lack of materials all around. Everything from hardware, fiberglass, gel coat, to depth finders and trolling motors is hard for manufacturers to get right now. Pair that with the highest demand since pre 2008 housing crash and current low inventory levels, BOOM perfect storm
Most vendors are no longer allowing customers to order 2021 year model boats. If you order a boat tomorrow it will be a 2022 year model and you will receive it in June at the earliest. Marine model year normally changes end of July
