A lot.

I was drunk one night and we found one running next to my buddy's truck at his farm. I stepped out of the truck while still in motion and punted it about 15-20 yards.

Walked up on it and it turns out it was pregnant, and I had killed all the babies with my Vinatieri-esque kick. Kinda felt bad for a while. I have since recovered.

I've been told they are practically blind

Yea but they've got really good hearing. You gotta catch them just like when you catch a unique rabbit............unique up on it

AlxTgr has perfected the Armadillo field goal kick. it's impressive seeing an armadillo fly 3'-4' in the air. Just get him a 6pk of Bud Light and he will demonstrate for you.

Shot a opposum one night that was getting in my trash. Left it till morning. When I went to dispose of the carcass there were five hairless babies scattered around it. I guess they crawled out of the pouch when they realized mom was dead. I battled with the same feelings of guilt but got over it pretty quick

I got out of my stand during a hunt this year because one had been tearing the grass up. His head was stuck in the ground and I just walked up behind him, put my 9 to his head and buried that fricker in the ground. Didn't see any deer after that that evening though, wonder why

It usually never fails that see an armadillo while hunting. I've drawn down on dillos and squirrels some many times I'd hate to have to admit it. Dad chewed me out when I was a kid about shooting one from the stand so I haven't done it in a long time

You know why armadillos jump when you kill them?

So they don't go straight to hell when they die.

how much damage can a shovel do to an armadillo?

Not sure about a shovel...but a garden rake does the job just fine.

I sliced one clean in half last year with a ditchbank knife and about 7 of those dumb shits walked right into the 14" disks behind the tractor last fall.

Um, the shovel will work just fine.

I gave one a nice golf swing with a 2 x 4 years ago when I still lived in 'Bama. I lived in a subdivision and couldn't shoot him.

Do yourself a favor and bury that bastard. They stink like hell when they decay. Worst smell ever!

My buddy in MO got one inside his archery shop one night and did not know it. The shop is a metal building with concrete slab. He has sheet insulation on the walls with chicken wire over it to keep it up.

Anyway the next morning 3 of the 4 walls each over 40 ft long had a solid area of destruction from 2.5 feet down. No insulation, tangled wire, blood smears, and in some spots actual tears in the metal walls from the claws. All from one dillo in a building over 10 hours that wanted out really badly.

He hates those things with passion now.

Don't shoot holes in the shell because your hat will leak.

Naw that is a cane knife or at least Gerbers version of it.

This is a ditchbank knife:

6 ft long total with a 14" long double sided blade weighing about 1.5 lbs on an axe like handle.

can slice through a 3-4" sapling with one swing if done right.
