I looked into this for my tacoma. It has 365k miles and the clear coat is peeling and have some big chips. I was thinking of just rhino lining it myself. Its a hunting and fishing truck but still takes down long road trips

good grief, I should've skipped college and bought a paint booth.
I know bodymen and painters in the Baton Rouge area making $140k+ a year.

My '97 needs paint. It was painted white by previous owner using MAACO I think. Original color was hunter green. I'd like to strip the white and restore to original, but with the costs emntioned in this thread, and what I have found on my own, I am leaning heavily towards a wrap.
Have you quoted a wrap yet? I had considered it, but haven't been able to get out and actually get any quotes of local shops.

there's a Maaco in BR. i called them to get an estimate for doing my roof and hood and he said its $300 for single stage and $600 for 2 stage.
single stage for the whole truck would have been $3000, but i think that was with a special they were running.
the only thing about maaco is they'll paint right over any rubber moldings on the vehicle which look tacky to me. you can see a few pictures of their work on their FB page.
