Lets say I was going to give Fluoro another chance as leader material only even though as a product it sucks in every way and is the worst outdoor product ever made by mankind...what should I get for crappie jig fishing when using 6lb mono main line and bass fishing when using 12lb mono main line?

I fish 12-20 pound mono depending on the bait. Never backlash. Have literally never had my line broken by a fish and usually catch pretty well. I fish for bass in rivers, lakes, and gravel pits. I also fish for reds and specs. The only time I've ever seen line matter was in a clear gravel pit and the guy I was with was using braid. I caught 12 he caught zero. He changed to mono and caught fish but that was one time out of a million I've seen line matter.

Have you ever tried the Trilene Transoptic? Looks like a gimmick to me, so I'm skeptical.

Nope. I agree with you.

With my white perch stuff, I am limited to the really limp stuff or it will jump off those tiny spools. Fluoro was a nightmare. Loud through guides too.
