Squirrel hunting is another good one. Did that with my nephews when they were young. Yeah, it was more of a noisy walk through the woods but they stayed pretty interested.

My son is 9. He usually good for 1-4 hunts a season. Just keep bringing him.
My son would rather go ride the 4 wheeler and scout and set up cameras than hunt. I have a camera he setup on some trails. He’s always asking if they have deer there.

I’m on my fourth hunt with my oldest (5) and he gets more quiet each time. I’m really proud of him. Walking quiet. Whispering. Playing games on his pad etc. he just loves being with his daddy. And that’s all that matters.
He did just fart. Silent but deadly.
Pray for us to see our first deer together today so I can show him some action!
