That what I was looking at too. I don't have 150 acres, but I can easily support 10-20 cow calf pairs and a bull. Done a lot of research into brangus females, heat tolerance (Brahman) and good meat gaining (angus).

From what all the cattlemen around here say now is the time, prices aren't going down any time soon. But damn forking over that much money is hard to do.

Damn nice deer. My family rarely buys beef, we eat deer most of the year.

Takes about 4 mature deer, I have two chest freezers, one for peas, corn and such and another for wild game and fish. Nothing like going out in the woods and shopping for free meat.

We looked into it several times and couldnt justify the cost. We bought a whole pig instead (split 3 ways). I cant remember the price per lb on it last year but it was a good deal.
