Brah--both unnecessary items that would have to wait until August
I know my way around without the GPS, but not having the depth finder kinda sucks. It was my dads call ultimately.

Dang Bourg, Conundrum navigated to wrecks 60 miles offshore with only a sextant and used the stars to return to port.

To be fair, we always fish the same ones when I'm on board, and he's got the route down by now.
We were giving him shite earlier that morning for making excuses before he even left the dock.

GPS not a big deal, but the sonar can make your life difficult if the fishing is tough or they are hanging away from rig.

Any more thoughts on the weather? Hoping to get offshore out of Cocodrie tomorrow if the seas will lay down.
Really tempted to go if I can get a crew together in time.

Yeah, I've thought about it a bunch. Waiting on the 4:00 update to NOAA forecast and I'll take a look at the current weather map. If this front stalls, tomorrow is going to suck bc of storms. If it would just push through, we'd be fine.

I'm doing the same. Right now it's just me and one other guy. I can't afford that kind of fuel bill so I'm scrambling to find a group to go.
