Who died and made you king? YOU prefer hanging in a tree to hunt. Many of us are old now, have disabilities, medical issues, etc. YOU want to tell everyone what YOU think is legal and proper. Why don’t YOU mind your own business. Why don’t YOU hunt the land YOU own or control. I just hope someday that YOU don’t have to deal with the issues I mentioned earlier. If YOU disagree, that is your right. Hunt the way YOU want, I will do what I want on MY hunting place. Hope you have a good season.

I’ll tell you what’s legal where I hunt. Due to CWD, baiting is illegal. Doesn’t matter if you’re old or not.

If not legal where you hunt, you should follow the law. I just get tired of all the hunters telling other hunters what they should kill, what equipment they should use, etc. It is supposed to be fun and allow someone to put some meat in the freezer. Now it is about scores, bragging, and pictures on social media.

While I agree with your last two sentences, I think it is time to ban supplemental feeding. It would not only hopefully slow the spread of CWD but would make the deer move more in the daytime. We all have pics of deer eating outof a feeders all night long.

In the end, if CWD spreads everywhere, it won't matter if we are old, we won't be hunting deer period.

Edit to add: I think planted fields are fine as the deer spread out while feeding in those. Also, banning supplemental feeding would take a major food source away from feral hogs and reduce the damage to feeders caused by bears in some areas.

You make some valid points. I really respect your opinions though they differ from mine. Our biggest issue is we hunt Wetland Mitigation property. We are NOT allowed to plow or plant food plots. We can broadcast some seed, but a 3 inch rain floods us for a couple of weeks. Water kills all plants that do come up. I have hunted this property for over 30 years. Stands have been up all this time. Not going to ever play the Hunting Club game ever again. Too much BS. I have a couple of life long friends, my daughter, and a nephew who hunt with me. NO guests, or game hogs allowed. I limit my group to 2 deer a season each. I killed 2 nice 8 points then watched deer the rest of the season. Let around 8 nice bucks walk. Works for us. Hogs, no limit. Best wishes to all.
