One of my better survivors lost one side according to camera.

Successful shed hunting in the Deep South depends on if the bucks drop before green up. Check green fields and trails entering bedding areas.

People have been eating CWD infected meat in Colorado and Wyoming for years. Not a big worry to me.
We have deaths every year from eating raw oysters, yet many of us still enjoy them.
Kansas buck - Mathews V3, megameat
.270 BAR - 2 hogs
35 Whelen - hog and 2 does
257 WBY mag - 2 does
Louisiana buck - Ruger 7mm-08
300 WBY - coyote
38-55 H&R Target Classic - Nutria
Saw about half the deer I usually see. Killed 4 does and a cull type 7 point. He was 4 years old and weighed 199 pounds on 1/17.
Always curious what others were successful with.
Try several bows and buy the one that feels the best when you shoot it.
Predator Optics is worth checking out. He’ll give you about as good a deal as you can find. Odd website, but I’ve made several purchases with good results.

Not sure, but that would be wonderful.
Wouldn’t be surprised if alpha gal was released on us.
Bucks are like a heavy weight boxer that’s been through fifteen rounds. They’ve got to rest up. A mature buck will easily loose 20 percent of his weight during the rut.
