For those that use the direct bury type.... can you cross a driveway with the wire if it's laid in an expansion joint and then siliconed/caulked?

route out or remove the joint material, lay the wire and seal the joint. The wire will be exposed though where it enters and exits the paving. That’s where the lawn equipment will inevitably break it and then you are fricked and will have to do it all over again
