FWIW, S30V and CPM S30V are two different steels

Nope. Same steel made by the same company. Some shorten the name to just S30V. CPM 154CM and 154CM are different steels by CPM making 154CM by their process.

I keep the following in rotation:

Benchmade Osborne 940 in S30V
SOG Aegis Tanto
SOG Pentagon Elite 1 (smoothest opening folder I own and that includes my Microtechs)
Spyderco UKPK

Back home I'd include an Emerson Commander BTS, Microtech SOCOM Elite auto, Cold Steel Recon 1 (3rd gen), and a custom ARS prototype OTF.

Damned good knife for the first few generations. I think they screwed up with the latest ones with the lock-back style and goofy grips. I bought a second one like mine and it's still in its package so I don't have to buy the newer style. Also have a Ti-Lite and a mini Voyager from them. All good knives.

My beat up old gerber has been sitting on my dash for weeks. Can't remember the last time I put it in my pocket
