Just got in the Chenal bayou along pecan island road in the yak. Practicing for a buddy who’s fishing the upcoming Kiwanis tournament. Throwing a green pumpkin baby brush hog right now and will update later. Good luck to all out this morning.

Update: threw the brush hog until the sun came out with only 1 hit and miss. Started chunking an Arkie 350 crank bait in ghost craw color and caught 3 bass so far, 12”, 14.5” and a 10”. I’m going to keep at it until they shut down this lure. My buddy is probing brush piles on the New Roads side. He’s only landed one 17” bass so far using a watermelon senko.

About to paddle back to LA Express landing. Caught 8 bass and a big goggle eye. Only 3 were 14” or better. Doubt he’s fishing this area but he does want the crank bait for the tournament.

Chuck, we weren’t fishing your brush piles. But since you downvoted, I’ll spend the next outing relocating bass from your piles to the public landing so the bank guys can enjoy the fruits of your labor.
